Bruce Pandolfini

Bruce Pandolfini is a National Master, author, and one of the world's most sought-after chess teachers He is America's most widely read and respected chess author and the creator of the Fireside Chess Library.  Pandolfini is one of the founders of the Chess-In-the-Schools program in New York.  He continues to inspire chess players of all ages through 27 of his books, several instructional videos, monthly columns in Chess Life magazine and www.chesscafe.com, Chessmaster® software tutorials, special lectures, and guest appearances.  Pandolfini was Head Coach of the U.S. Team in the 1990 World Youth Chess Championships in Wisconsin.  One of his students is seven-time National Scholastic Champion, Josh Waitzkin.  Pandolfini and Waitzkin are the inspiration behind the book and movie, Searching for Bobby Fischer in which Ben Kingsley portrays Pandolfini.  His two most recent books are Every Move Must Have A Purpose, published by Hyperion; and Pandolfini's Ultimate Guide to Chess, published by Fireside.  For further reading about Bruce Pandolfini, see FastCompany Magazine's article, All The Right Moves
