Classes are now enrolling: Wheel Thrown Pottery meets once a week (for two hours) for four weeks $100 + clay ($15 for a 25 pound block), glazes (cost depends on color chosen) and firing fees (cost depends on size and number of pieces fired). Hand Building Pottery (same as wheel) Precious Metal Clay classes meets once a week (for three hours) for three weeks. $100 for class + $95 (for supplies and firing fees). Clay Camps for Kids - Enrolling now for June and July (call for dates) Camp meets Monday through Friday from 10 to 3. Fee is $175 and includes all supplies and firing fees. $50 (Non-refundable) registration fee should accompany camp registration form which can be printed from web site. (PLEASE do not register on line. Print the form and mail it with a check or call in the information & pay with a credit card.) Tile painting and glazing classes. One two hour class is $30 per person. Four week class is $100 + supplies and firing fees (supplies and firing fees are usually aroung $25 for the 4 weeks - some people, however, choose to do extra projects.) Birthday parties and tour groups are welcome. Fees vary according to the activities done. Activities include (but are not limited to) pottery demonstration and tour of facility, Raku firing demonstration, tile painting or glazing, hand building project, "A Taste of Clay". Tours and activities can take from 30 minutes to 3 hours. Bodine pottery, pottery done by other Mississippi potters, jewelry made by Mississippi Precious Metal Clay artists, photos, paintings, and prints can be seen and purchased in the Mississippi JAM (Mississippi Juried Art Market featuring artwork done by some of the most impressive artists in Mississippi). The gallery will open the third week in May, and the Grand Opening festivities will be held June 1st and 2nd 2007. The studio is a full production pottery studio featuring classes by the Bodines any many other artists.
